Marathon Runner for Friedman Research

The Tufts Marathon Challenge combines the best of physical activity with philanthropy as 200 runners participate annually in the Boston Marathon raising funds for programs that support health initiatives at the university.

My favorite opportunity at the Friedman School was my summer internship. As an MS/MPH dual-degree student with the School of Medicine, I was able to take part in two internships: 1) drafting of a national nutrition policy in the tiny Pacific Island nation of Niue (population 1,100), and 2) evaluating an anemia prevention program for adolescent girls in West Bengal, India with UNICEF.
